Every animal deserves the opportunity for gentle and safe anesthesia, free from memories of the event and with preemptive, high quality pain management. I seek to provide this through patient advocacy, direct patient oversight, and teaching/training necessary skills to provide quality anesthesia.
-
Patient Advocacy
This voiceless community of animals deserves someone who acts as their patient advocate, even in the face of external hurdles. If so commissioned, I will act as the patient’s advocate on this journey, based on a thorough knowledge of the patient’s unique physiology and anatomy, the scope of the required procedure, and collaboration with all the team members providing the care.
-
Patient Oversight
I will dedicate my full attention, time and presence to patients to provide them outstanding pain management and see them through the anesthesia event, both physically when possible and virtually when not. This allows me to bring to bear my 15+ years of veterinary anesthesia and pain management experience to provide continuous, real time care. I will use my communications skills to build and develop strong relationships with the patient’s primary veterinarian, so that we can provide synergist care of the patient to deliver the best results for each individual patient and the families who loves them.
-
Teaching & Training
It is my honor and privilege to be both a consummate learner and passionate teacher. I seek to take in a steady stream of complex veterinary anesthesia and pain management information, break it down into foundational and easily understandable fragments, and steadily use these core knowledge selections to build a framework of anesthesia understanding in those I train and teach, so that after each anesthesia session, all involved have their mind expanded for the benefit of the current and future patients we care for.
So how do I get started with this?
